Will the ‘Kondo Effect’ Affect the Economy?

It’s a new year so how better to celebrate it than by throwing away all the junk you bought last year? And the one before that, and before that? Seems like so many of us have piles of unwanted ‘stuff’ and nothing feels better than throwing it away. No one gets that better than clutter-buster extraordinaire Marie Kondo, she of the gazillion selling book and the new Netflix series. But as we Kondo our lives, are we also going to re-make the economy? It’s an interesting question, and one I tackle in my latest column for the Globe and Mail. Read it here
