My most recent article for the Globe and Mail (see it here) looked the ‘get back to the office trend’ from what I hope is a longer term lens. That is, right now everyone is panicking about the bottom line, and cutting workers and what are viewed as worker ‘privileges’ seems to be the thing to do. Thing is, what if ordering workers back to the office results in organizations losing the best workers that they have? Short term decisions are not necessarily the best thing for workers over the long term.

It will not be a debate that is likely to be settled anytime soon, but if we are trying to build a strong long term workforce this is not the time for short-term thinking.
